The Firehouse area is built around operational context
The goal is not to create another social feed. Firehouse combines crew context, planned meals, schedule information, station activity, training, and priority items so the first screen can answer what the crew is doing and what needs attention.
Station board responses stay attached to the item
Board items can carry acknowledgements, sign-ups, or RSVP-style responses instead of pushing every station update into a group text. Time-sensitive or important items can remain visible until they are handled, while routine activity can stay quieter.
Crew coordination connects existing workflows
- Meal Calls and meal votes for the crew.
- Station board items with response state.
- Crew schedules and shared date context.
- Training suggestions that remain suggestions until an authorized person schedules them.
- Station activity and memories that preserve what happened at the house.
- Messaging and trusted connections without making every relationship public.
Useful even when the station is quiet
A quiet shift should not turn FireHousePal into an empty dashboard. When there is no urgent station item, the app can still lead toward an existing useful action such as planning a meal, browsing training, checking the schedule, or discovering something worth knowing.
