FireHousePal Training

Firefighter Training Drills and Crew Training Planning

FireHousePal gives crews a practical place to find a drill, review it, suggest it, schedule it, and keep the actual training tied to the station calendar.

Training ideas are not automatically scheduled training

FireHousePal separates a useful drill idea from an official crew evolution. A member can surface or support a training suggestion, but that suggestion stays an idea until a station owner or admin deliberately puts it on the schedule.

That distinction keeps the training feed useful without making the station calendar look more certain than it really is.

Quick Drills for the moments when the crew has time

The Training area includes Quick Drills and a larger drill library so a crew can make use of a short opening in the shift. A drill can be previewed before it is planned, and full drill packets can carry objectives, setup, timing, evaluation points, and reference material.

The goal is not to replace department policy or instructor judgment. It is to make it easier to turn available time into a structured conversation or evolution.

Scheduled training stays connected to the shift

  • Plan training for a specific date and crew.
  • Open the exact scheduled evolution from Training or the station schedule.
  • Keep completed training available for review instead of treating it like a disposable calendar item.
  • Let crew suggestions feed the planning process without granting every member scheduling authority.

How Training connects to the rest of FireHousePal

Training is part of the Firehouse operating flow rather than a separate content library. The station schedule can lead into the real training planner, Today can surface what matters now, and Firehouse can show planned training alongside meals, crew activity, and station priorities.
